Description
MW=16.6 kDa. Full length calmodulin, cloned from human cDNA with a C-terminal purification tag, expressed in E. coli. The protein consists of the human calmodulin (residues 1-148, swissprot accession P62158). The C-terminal tag is cleaved during the purification.

Purity
> 95% by SDS-PAGE. The protein was observed as a single band migrating at a molecular weight < 20 kDa.

Supplied as
1.0 mg/mL in Tris 20mM, pH 8.0, NaCl 150mM, CaCl2 2mM, Complete Protease Inhibitor Cocktail EDTA-free (Roche). The concentration is calculated from the absorbance at 280nm (ε280= 2560 M-1cm-1). It is strongly recommended to add 1tablet of Complete Protease Inhibitor Cocktail EDTA-free (Roche) in 100ml of buffer in case of buffer change.

Storage
-20°C. The protein is stable at 4°C for at least 2 weeks and at 25°C for at least several hours.
After initial defrost, aliquot product into individual tubes and refreeze at -20°C.
Avoid repeated freeze/defrost cycles.
