Description

Description
MW = 14.4 kDa calculated. Human, recombinant, Alpha-synuclein (α-Synuclein) cloned from human cDNA, expressed in E. coli. The protein consists of the full length Alpha-synuclein (residues 1-140, UniProtKB accession P37840).

Purity
> 95% by SDS-PAGE. The protein is observed, in denaturing conditions, as a single band migrating at a molecular weight of about 14.4 kDa.

Supplied as
0.5 mg/mL solution in sodium phosphate 20 mM pH 6.5, NaCl 200 mM, EDTA 0.5 mM, Complete Protease Inhibitor Cocktail EDTA-free (Roche). The concentration is calculated by the analysis of the absorbance at 280 nm (ε280 = 5960 M-1cm-1 calculated).

Storage
-80°C. The protein is stable at 4°C for at least 1 weeks and at 25°C for several hours. After initial defrost, aliquot the product into individual tubes and refreeze at -80°C. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
